About Emily Veasey, LCSW

Emily earned her degrees in Social Work from the University of Arkansas and has dedicated her career to helping individuals navigate trauma, life challenges, and build emotional resilience. Her approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, including TF-CBT, Person-Centered, and Strengths-Based therapy, while always honoring each person’s unique journey with compassion and respect.

Emily strives to create a space where clients feel seen, valued, and supported in every way. She believes therapy should be a place to show up as your full self—without fear of judgment and with the confidence that your experiences and perspectives are honored.

In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her Dalmatian puppy- Penny and her husband, tackling DIY projects around the house, and watching comfort tv shows.

Therapeutic Approaches

Trauma - Focused
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
& Trauma-Informed

An evidence-based therapy designed to help adolescents and their caregivers process and heal from traumatic experiences. TF-CBT combines traditional cognitive-behavioral techniques with trauma-sensitive interventions. Trauma-informed therapy is also used with adults!

Strengths-Based
Therapy Approach

A collaborative approach that focuses on each person’s inherent strengths, resources, and resilience. Rather than centering on problems or deficits, Strengths-Based Therapy helps clients recognize and build upon their existing abilities to foster empowerment, confidence, and lasting growth.

Person - Centered
Therapy Approach

A collaborative, client-centered approach that fosters self-discovery, growth, and healing within a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. Through empathy, active listening, and genuine respect, the therapist helps clients connect with their inner strengths and insights to find their own path forward.
